  I've been working to perfect the omelet and hash brown potatoes since I was 10, and I feel pretty good about my accomplishment. However, Avenue Bread makes my homemade plate sour in comparison! I am a connoisseur, and I am so thankful I have found their offering. The serving size is generous. The order waits are reasonable. I am a frequent flyer at the James location. If you are wanting breakfast and in the neighborhood, check them out!

  A Slice of Bellingham -- Although parking can be an issue at lunch, this is a great place to meet friends for a quick bite to eat. The bread and pastries are baked fresh every day. Most ingredients for the sandwiches, soups and burgers that dominate the menu are grown or raised locally -- a living example of the "buy local eat local" economic philosophy.
  
  I love the Avenue Bread BLAT (Bacon, Lettuce, Avocado and Tomato) which is served with locally cured Hempler's bacon on their scrumptious Rosemary (sourdough-style) bread in a basket with an old-fashioned dill pickle and Tim's Potato Chips.

  Love going here for breakfast. Easy service. Fast prep time. Well priced and a good range on the menu. Good serving sizes too. Can get really busy in peak times though.
