  not traditional Peruvian like mom used to make but a great Peruvian infused cuisine in this small but cozy sandwich shop (sangucheria) that is worth the wait. the alfajores had a great filling but the addition of the coconut may be a little difficult to grasp for this man still pining for his mom's version.
  i wish they would add a few more salads to the menu or some standard Peruvian dishes or derivations thereof (ie aji de gallina, anticuchos, etc)

  That Sauce! Super delicious spicy, creamy sauce on potatoes and the sandwich. I cannot recommend the Pavo sandwich more, it's so good. I also suggest the Peruvian Hot Chocolate for a drink with a little spicy kick as well, but make sure to ask for it extra hot. Depending on who makes it their hot chocolate can be tepid.

  Bellingham has a distinct lack of good cultural food. Cafe Rumba is a delightful break from that! Amazing and authentic Peruvian cuisine. The food is great and the atmosphere is extraordinary. I recommend very highly!

  If I could eatCafe Rumba everyday my life would be pretty close to complete. I'm yet to have a bad sandwich, bad service or a bad experience. The Choclo is the best!!!
